We travelled today from Phoenix, AZ to Gallup, NM. Along the way, we surprised the kids and stopped at the Meteor Crater Museum in Winslow, AZ. What an interesting and fun stop! We got to touch a meteorite, watch a movie about how the crater formed, and the history of the crater! Earlier this year, Liam studied the Space Program and visited NASA Space Center in Houston, TX. We learned that astronauts trained in the Crater to simulate the craters on the Moon! Everyone was impressed with this stop.
