Every adventure comes with new experiences. This year afforded the opportunity to grow and widen our view of the world. These are just a few of those opportunities:
Ranen went to a gymnastics camp before we left Longview and learned how to do a tripod where you balance your knees on your elbows as a first step to a head stand. One day in Colorado, she decided she wanted to learn how to do a full head stand. She fell a lot but figured it out!
While crochet is not a new adventure for Katie, she decided to try her hand at making a little stuffed whale as gifts. In total she created 19 whales while on the trip.
Coffee is not something that is part of our lives. We much prefer tea or hot cocoa; we don't even have a coffee maker in our house (Katie refuses)! The girls were introduced to coffee on this trip. Ranen was very excited at first but decided it wasn’t for her. Hannah, on the other hand, is a convert. She especially liked the mocha she tried!
Ranen and Hannah had the opportunity to be bat girls at their cousin's playoff baseball game. They enjoyed being part of the team for a night.
