Parched

Drought. There are many things I take for granted...until they aren't there. In Longview, we have had a pretty dry summer. The ground is brown, crunchy, and dry. The plants are withered.

But we are entering a season of storms. I welcome the rain and the cool wind. I welcome the relief from the harsh sun and the cloudless, unrelenting skies.

There are times in my life that I have felt drought. Drought in my relationship with God, drought in my relationships with others, drought even in my internal thought. But God is good and faithful and gracious.

One of the things this summer reminded me of is that God brings people into my life for a reason and sometimes for a season. I can see how the people He placed in my life have influence on my path even after our season together is over. I am so thankful for all the people I have shared in my journey and for those that allowed me to be part of theirs.

Psalm 42:7 "Deep calls to deep at the sound of your waterfalls. All your breakers and waves have rolled over me."
