It has been almost two weeks! It is hard to believe how quickly time moves. Its seems like yesterday I was sharing with you about Day One (check the previous posts for more details). Much has happened since that first day, but I wanted to take a brief moment to give you a glimpse of what I have been working on.
In the Day One post I talked about a master plan for a camp in Kentucky. This project is still a work in progress. In addition to this, I have had the opportunity to work on two 3D models for a couple of projects. Both are churches. One is in Tennessee and the other is near Dallas, Texas.
The image above is for a church in Tennessee. You can see the existing building in the background at the far left of the image. The new addition will add over 20,000 square feet of worship, teaching, and multipurpose space. The existing building will be renovated for youth and general education space.
This image above is for a church is the Dallas area. This project is for a fellowship hall and office addition. The new addition is the white building to the far left in the image. We will also be adding onto the existing building a port cochere (Architecture word of the day - port cochere: a passageway through a building or screen wall designed to let vehicles pass from the street to an interior courtyard or a roofed structure extending from the entrance of a building over an adjacent driveway and sheltering those getting in or out of vehicles.).
Both projects are still in development, and these images were created to assist with capital campaign efforts. Lord willing, eventually Missionary TECH Team will provide full design services. For now they are just images, dreams on a screen.
Join us in prayer that the Lord would bless their efforts and make available the funds needed to move forward with construction. We do not pray this so that TECH Team can have the work; we have plenty to keep us busy. Rather we eagerly anticipate how the Lord will use these structures to build his Church. We look forward to the ministry that will happen to reach the lost and broken of the communities these churches call home.
